1. The Caleuche
This ship is said to be appeared near the island of Chiloe and legends believe regarding this phantom ship is that the people who have drowned in the waters of ocean there spirits are riding this ghost ship. The ship is roaming in the sea and producing various mysterious voices of people laughing and party music.
2. The SS Valencia
This ship sank in the coast of Vancouver in 1906 due to bad whether storm and harsh waves that shook this ship badly. Many people were rescued by alighting through the life boats but still many people remained there unsaved. Till then it is believed that the ones who drowned in the ship there skeletons were found in the cave and till than there spirits are wandering in this phantom ship.
3. The Ourang Medan
This interesting bizarre story related to this ship was started in 1947 in which two American ships during there way to sea received an astonishing and freighting message by a caller who introduced himself as a member of crew. He told that all the members of his ship are dying and last message that he gave was “I die”. American ships ran to rescue that ship but at the spot they found the ship undamaged but all riders including the dog were found dead. Suddenly the ship caught fire and burnt before any investigations could be made. From that time Ourang Medan is an unsolved mystery.
4. The Carroll A. Deering
This ship was found near Cape Hatteras, North Carolina in 1921 and the ship had returned from voyage to deliver coal in South America. That mysterious ship got an unusual damage by the Diamond Shoals. Many other mysterious stories are related to this phantom ship.
5. The Baychimo
The amazing thing about this steamer is that it was desolated and left to lure in ocean for more than 40 years, near Alaska. As the ship was owned by Hudson Bay Company and was taking its voyage across icebergs of Alaska but unfortunately got struck in ice. The riders were air lifted and the ship was left struck in the ice bergs but after some time this phantom ship got free from ice and kept drifting in waters for 40 years. Now it is believed that this ship had sunk finally.
6. The Octavius
The tale is related with this phantom ship is most interesting and dramatic. This ship was found drifting near the coast of Greenland. The crew members were found stiff and frozen due to artic cold. Many researchers believed that this ship is drifting since very long in the ocean and was discovered by the wanderers. Legends further add that this ship had once got struck in ice capes of Atlantic oceans but was then set free by itself.
7. The Joyita
This boat was found strolling in water of South Pacific in 1955. The ship was on its way to Tokelau isle where suddenly some mysterious thing happened and rescue was launched immediately. But unluckily the lost ship remained lost for many years. Rescue team had tried to search it every where but failed. Finally after five weeks the ship was found wandering in water some 600 miles away from its original track. Amazingly there was nothing in the vessel it was all evacuated as no crew member, no cargo and no sign of anything except few bloodily bandages. Up till now no passenger has been seen and the mystery is still a mystery for every one.
8. The Lady Lovibond
Beautiful story is related with this phantom ship. Lady Lovibond’s captain and Simon Peel got married and took a voyage on ship to celebrate there wedding. The newly married couple started there journey on 13 Feb, 1748. Simon’s friend was in love with his wife and he became jealous to see newly wed couple and intently he steered boat in Goodwind Sands where boat damaged badly. The passengers died but the ship was noticed to be wandering in ocean for 50 years.
9. The Mary Celeste
This is basically a merchant ship that was found roaming in Atlantic Ocean in 1872. The mysterious thing about this phantom vessel was that every thing except the crew members and passengers was safely present in the boat. Legendry believe is that waterspout had killed the passengers and all every thing remained enact with the vessel. Some also believe that due to bad weather crew had likely to desolate the ship whereas other believe that some sprits or monsters could have eat up the members.
10. The Flying Dutchman
The ship was spotted in late 1700 and since that time various stories and folks have been connected with it. The eminent story starts as that the ship started tits expedition towards East Indies where on its way it encountered bad weather storm, Van der Decken who was among the crew member got mad and killed his mates. He tried to save the ship from sinking but it finally sank in deep water. But now there is accurse on this ship to wander in ocean endlessly.
